Jumping is great fun but you have to be able
to control your horse before you start to learn how to jump. It's no use trying to
learn how to jump if you've only been riding for a couple of weeks.
Horses
can jump small fences without much help from their riders. When fences get bigger
you have to learn how to "see a stride". This means that you have to be
able to see where the horse needs to take off and alter your horses stride so he/she will
meet the fence right. The most important part of a jump is the approach.
